How to communicate better

Each of us must communicate with others in this world. Sometimes communication is easy and your behavior is in harmony with (與...... 協(xié)調(diào)一致) others.    36    There are times when you are completely misunderstood. Therefore, it is really necessary to follow the tips below to increase your communication skills.

Nod your head.

People can think far faster than you can talk. If you want someone to agree with you, nod your head slightly up and down.    37

Be respectful of space.

Everyone has a spatial (空間的) requirement.     38     Most people are not close talkers. Standing too close during conversations makes some people want to jump out of their skin (大吃一驚). Keep this in mind, especially if you’ve eaten garlic for lunch.

Smile.

Smiling will not only make you feel better, but also make whomever you are speaking with feel better.   39     This takes practice, but the benefits of learning how to eye smile can produce communication candy.

     40

When you first meet someone, be sure to shake his hand firmly and look directly into his eyes with a smile. There is nothing worse than receiving a careless handshake from someone. Handshakes can tell you a lot about people.

A.Smile with your eyes.

B.Have a firm handshake.

C.However, this is not always the case.

D.If you don’t have anything good to say, say nothing.

E.Don’t stand too close to someone that you are speaking with.

F.There are many ways that we can improve our communication skills.

G.This body language will encourage whomever you are speaking with to agree with you.

I explained that Santa was sorry that he was so   56   , but that gift had been made   57   for him! The boy took the gift slowly, smiled and ran to his mother. The last thing I   58   as I moved on to give a gift to the next child was the boy’s voice “Mommy, Santa really does   59  ! And he didn’t   60   us this year!”
